Finding packs
Section titled “Finding packs”edisyl pack listEvery ask, teach, and task — from the CLI or the API — takes <pack> as a slug, a case-insensitive name, or a UUID.
Export, import, pull
Section titled “Export, import, pull”edisyl pack export <pack> --out pack.json # no --out: bundle to stdout, hash to stderredisyl pack inspect pack.json # what it needs, what it carriesedisyl pack import pack.json --as pack-copy --connection 'Warehouse=postgres://u:p@h:5432/db'edisyl pack pull <registry-slug> --out <file> # fetch a published pack from the registryFlag (import) |
Behavior |
|---|---|
--as <slug> |
Import under a new local slug instead of the bundle’s own. |
--connection '<name>=<value>' |
Supply a connection the bundle names. Value is a DSN, a raw token, or an inline JSON config. Repeat per connection. |
--allow-missing-connections |
Import even if a named connection isn’t supplied and doesn’t already exist locally. |
--upstream '<bundle-slug>=<local-slug>' |
Bind a declared upstream to a differently named local pack. |
--with-references |
Pull missing upstreams from the registry, upstreams first. |
--no-reindex |
Skip the post-import index rebuild: only useful when importing more bundles right after. |
inspect and import also accept a registry ref (slug[@contentHash]) instead of a file path. inspect -j prints a computed summary: hash, upstreams, connections with their env vars, per-knowledge-base counts, not the raw file.
contentHash is the version. Never hand-edit a bundle file or round-trip it through a JSON parser that might reorder keys; either changes the hash, and import refuses a bundle that no longer matches its own hash. See Moving packs between environments for the full model.
